A neat clump of nettles on the far side of the camp serve as the den for apprentices. An ancient, charred stump lay with its gnarled roots washed above the ground; this is where the apprentices lay to sleep, mostly. The stump is scarred with the claws of apprentices that can be traced from many seasons before.
